  • Chief Post Master General inaugurated the first postal ATM in Kullu at General Post Office. He gave a detailed account of services rendered by post office in the state, particularly in remote and far-flung areas. He said the remaining ATM facilities would be completed within one month. He stated that the post offices would be made online under the digital India campaign to provide facility to the masses of the rural areas at their door-step.
  • No solution seems to working for saving the picturesque Dal Lake of Dharamsala located at an altitude of 1775 meters from the sea level. The lake is dying a slow death. The water storage capacity of the lake was being lost due to rapid silting. Due to silting, the lake is also losing its natural flora and fauna.
